If you don't care about style, power or speed, the cheapest and a great choice is the (pre 95) geo metro with the 1L engine. 50+MPG real world without any crazy technology.
Who wants to drive a metro though? Another good one is the Honda CRX HF that again is capable of 50mpg.This one actually looks decient, but only has two seats and still a rather whimpy engine.
Probably the best GAS milage car to actuallly lived with, is the 92-95 Honda Civic VX. This car used a special from of vtec that combined good performance with awsome fuel economy. another 50 mpg car. While just as light and barebones as the rest of the cars I mentioned, this is the most normal of any of these choices.
the current economy cars pale in comparison when it comes to gas milage. Even he insight rarely meets mpg expectations. Any of the above could probably best it in real world driving.

on indian road? I dont know what you mean by that. But a guy took a toyota hybrid car (prius I think), removed the cheap weak batteries that the manufacturers instaled and replaced the cheap electronic controler that controled the electric motor and his car ended up getting 250MPG.
That is because the batteries were soo strong (probably 6V 240AH), and lasted soo long that by the time he got to his destination, the engine hardly ever got used!
Oh and if your talking about engine miles, then a guys Mercedes 240D 4 cylinder diesel had about 2,500,000 on it on record.

... gas milage?
... total milage?
Affordable, conversion cars, worldwide sales?
your not really giving us much information.
Do you want something affordable like an insight or prius?
Do you have the money to build jay lenos ecojet?
If you have a $500,000 lying around, im sure you could build the ecojet, its a supercar that gets 42 mpg.
If you have $340,000 laying around, look at the ets conversion rolls royce silver spur.
If you have $100,000 laying around, look at the jalopnik
If you have $65,000 laying around look at ets porsche 959 conversion.
You have to give us a question that can be answered.
