He's not fat but literally he is bigger than the average hamster and the tubes in his cage that lead to the one and only place he will sleep. So I need larger tubes that will fit on my CritterTrail 3 hamster cage. Does anybody know where I could aquire such a thing?

I've tried diets and I have an excersize ball her runs in everyday but he isn't loosing any weight so I don''t think he is fat but has big bones and a big body structure.

i dont think they make bigger tubes for that.. but you could get a flexible tube made for a ferret and attach it to your cage for your hamster. (you'll have to get creative with the twisty ties) But its good to do something quick. I had a big hamster and I didnt notice that she had a hard time fitting through the tubes until i pulled her out one day and her back was scraped up and bloody.

You can get bigger tubes at a pet store or you could use a guniea pig cage instead of a hamster cage..

If you go to the pet store and tell them of your predicament then they SHOULD be able to help you, either by ordering some bigger tube, or suggesting a place where you can get them.
Or try and make your oun, get some regular plastic tubes from the hardware store and make your own, Plus it will warm your hampster heart to know you love him so much to MAKE him a gift, :)

I would check pet smart I think you can shop online or go to your local pet store they sell tubes for guinea pigs and large mice, and ferrets. walmart may even have something in the pet department if you havent already checked there

you might want to consider a guinea pig cage. tubes are probably a little bigger. might be more comfortable for him. check with Petco or Petsmart.

You might try putting your lard-butt hamster on a diet. There are plastic balls you can get at the pet store. They unscrew in half and have small vents. You can place the hamster inside of it and he can run around and get some exercise without getting lost or getting eaten by the cat. The plastic balls come in larger sizes, I used to have one when I had a hedgehog.

you can get bigger tubes at the pet stores, or go to the hardware store and purchase clear big tubes there.

go to petsmart, they won't have any bigger tubes, you may need to switch to a different cage.
