I knit left handed. Are there patterns for me? I go from left to right and I do not throw my yarn. Right handed knitters have tried to help me. Help..

Well, Knitting is a two handed craft both hands holding the knitting needles, left handed knitters should not really knit differently than right handed knitters anymore than left handed piano players would play differently from right handed.

You can hold the yarn in whichever hand you prefer, If you hold it in your right hand you are knitting the english method, if in your left you are knitting continental. Which hand you hold your yarn would not change how a pattern is done.

The difficulty with knitting differently is that it makes patterns almost impossible to follow. I think that some left-handers may feel that knitting the same way as right-handed people would be too awkward, but knitting at the beginning is awkward for every one.

I agree with one of the above answers. I am right handed, but have taught several others how to knit, left handed, by sitting in front of them, not side by side.
What I, am doing with my right hand, they are doing with their left.
Start simply,m with straight knitting, then knit one row and pearl one row, until the 'learner' becomes more comfortable.
As for reading patterns, it will be a matter of reversing, when it says 'in front, such as a cable, go fron behind, and reverse the ends, such as in a sweater front.
Good luck, and take your time.

I don't know, but I am going to track this question! I am left-handed. My right-handed mother tried to teach me to knit, to no avail. I can do lots of things right-handed (bat a baseball, use a mouse) but I couldn't get the hang of knitting.

I was a scout leader and we had a little girl who was not only left handed but ADHD. I would sit on the floor in front of her and she would copy what I did that way. I taught her to knit. That is how my sister learned alot when we were kids because I sat opposite her.
