I read Dr. Perricone's book and he recommends that you use benzoyl peroxide (you can use Clearasil or Proactiv or whatever) and apply to the affected area after cleansing and drying. Then apply a cold compress for 15 minutes. The cold will help lessen the inflammation which will help deliver the medication into the pore. Do this before you go to bed and the next morning it will be gone (or at least much better!) Do not pop (no matter what anyone says!) because that is like squeezing a tube in the middle. Some of the pus will come out but the rest will go further into the skin and cause more severe breakouts. Good luck.

If it's on your forehead it is probably a simple clogged pore, not a cyst. SO -- and I know there will be major detractors on this -- sterilize a needle with either a flame or alcohol. Focus on the blemish, you can probably see where the inflamed pore opening is. Push the needle point into that opening. Oil, pus or blood may come out.
Then run a cloth under hot water, wring out and press the steamy hot cloth on the pricked blemish. This also will open it a little more. Gently squeeze from the base. The reason dermatologists say not to squeeze is that if you cause the matter inside to break through into the bloodstream, it passes the infection in a blemish along.
Hopefully something -- oil, pus, blood -- has come out of that huge zit. Wash with something anti-bacterial, and since you probably are planning on going someplace special, do not use a cosmetic coverup, but apply a flesh-toned oil drier, such as Oxy 10.

Solution: Hot compresses and Cortaid. At night before you go to bed (and whatever other time you find to do this), wet your wash cloth with the hottest tap water that you can stand. Press the cloth on your zit with medium to strong pressure. Stop when the heat subsides and repeat again 5 or so times. Afterwards, apply cortaid to the zit. You will be surprised in the morning to see how much your zit has been reduced. Now, this is not a miracle cure and it will not remove your zit overnight, but it will make it smaller and eventually the zit will go away with repeated treatments as described. Good luck to you.

Ok, i know this is taboo in the world of zits, but for short notice emergencies, just pop it! then take a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and hold it on there for a few minutes, (it will be a little red, but it will be totally gone!) . after that, just cover it with conceler and powder. If you have overnight, clean it really well, put come anti acne cream on it, and cover it with a dab of toothpaste. (but it cant be a gel- just regular)

I think you should squeeze it. Try to get a little of your fingernail (make sure very very clean) when you squeze. As said above, you want to squeeze until a little blood comes.
Then use an astringent and anti-bacterial ointment.

toothpaste. Seriously, it really works, try using tweezers to get it out, a very hot rag and a lot of cover up.
