I live in a good area for 2 years near sea world in San Antonio, tx. They are building house like crazy around here, and builders are offering NEW homes, that are the exact same size as my 2 year old home, for the same amount which i can sell my home for. If I sold my home to day, I can make about 14,000.
Should hold on to my home and rent it out or sell it?

I think that you may not be able to rent it out for enough to cover the mortgage. But the final decision will probably be made based not only on that. Will you be leaving San Antonio and moving back here some day? If so, it might be worth holding on to this house (at it's low interest rate) rather than buying again in 5 or 8 years when interest is higher.

My office handles rentals in NW San Antonio, and I handle homes for sale in San Antonio. You can contact me directly if you want and I'll look at your situation to let you know if I can help you.

I also live near Sea World and know what you mean about the new houses going up in the area when mine is also only 2 years old. I think it depends on what you can afford and what your plans and goals are for home ownership. We moved from outside the area and used a great buyer's real estate agent. He really worked for us, quickly and was extremely dependable. His name is Dale Henry and he works for Keller Williams. I think you could analyze the homes with a real estate agent. Also, analyze your true financial picture with your financial institution.

That is up to you, is $14,000 enough profit for you? Do you want to have the hassles of renting? Do you need that profit to buy a new home? I am sure the price will increase with time it just depends if you need the money or want to hold out and then deal with renters.

You can call on one of theses signs and get free information on different creative possibilities that may be available to you. The good news here is you don't have to go through a realtor who will charge you %6 to get your house sold.

Why don't you just keep it? Why do you *think* you need a new home, if yours is only two years old?
