No positve answers yet but possibly an accidental overdose. I never thought it would happen to him. I don't know what to say to his parents.

You don't have to say a thing. A hug, kiss, your presence would be comforting. He was your friend and you loved him and his family loved him. You could probably really be there for one another about now. Often, we say more with our actions than any amount of words. I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!

Tell them the truth, you were close and are very sad. If it is too hard, cut it short, but then write a note that you can include in a sympathy card. I'm sure it willl mean a lot to them. Good Luck.

I have been in your situation. Just be there and that is comforting to his family. It's gonna be a tough time for the rest of your friends too. You all should just be together and remember the great things about him. Very sorry for your loss!

Worry about talking to the parents later. You have to think about yourself right now.Do you have support from your family? If so talk to them , let it all out so you can begin to heal inside.When you are feeling better,then decide to talk to his parents.Just say I'm sorry for your loss& give them a hug...I'm sorry for your loss...Sorry I'm too far away to give you a hug...Take Care...

Just offer your condolences. Just tell them that he was a good friend and that you are sad to see him gone. Offer help if they need it cleaning up his things.
