rikki tiki tavi and it was a mongoose I think. My kids love that cartoon and its funny i watched it when I was a kid

Riki Tiki Tavi by Rudyard Kipling. The animated show is awesome. I think Chuck Jones, the guy responsible for Bug Bunny, worked on this film too.

The animal was a mongoose, and was helped by a mother bird who was trying to keep the cobras from eating her eggs. Rikki fought with the cobras, killing them and their eggs as well to protect the human family that had adopted him.
