You'll need to find the specifics for your City, Town, or County. It is not uncommon for there to be limits on the number of vehicles allowed to be on a piece of property. And there is usually a requirement that the vehicle be registered with a valid license plate. Some places require either that unregistered vehicles be kept in a building, or the property owner have a permit to be a junk yard.

I have never heard of a limit on the number of vehicles a person can own for personal use. As long as each vehicle is propperly registered and insured, the state really doesn't care how many cars a person owns.
