Why? he took a team that was a joke for a decade or two and made them serious contenders the last two years. Win or lose, he should be showered with gifts. He made something from nothing.

he wont get fire because with him bears won back to back divison leaders, they finish last season with 11-5 and now finish 13-3 and both years they had a bye week. Lovie Smith did a good job even though he didnt get a ring. theres many good coaches out in the NfL that are excellent coaches who lead their team to the playoffs but cant pull it off. during playoffs last 2 seasons, bears lost key figure on their brutual defense. if they werent injured could have their spot reserve in the super bowl. They have a high chance of winning it all

No. The Bears have had a below average year, but a lot of this stems from key injuries, zero receiver talent & gigantic offensive line issues (translates to no running game, QB knockdowns & interceptions). Regardless of what the decision is with Lovie, the Bears need to be very active in the offseason & the draft. Cutler will be fine, he just needs some talent at wide receiver & a decent running game.

I dont think any coach who takes a team to the playoffs should be fired.Just look at all the other teams who didnt make it.On the other hand Jim Mora Jr. should have been fired.

No way! This guy is a great coach! He's building something special in Chicago. He might not win it all this year, but deserves a chance to stay. The important thing is to see how well he is building the program overall

no way they weren't anywhere near where they are today before lovie was there. the person they should fire is rex grossman he is so inconsistent. get somebody better.

I don't know if firing him solves their problems. He can't help it that he has the worst starting QB this side of Ryan leaf.. and even Leaf had more potential then Grossman.

no. if the bears lose blame it on rex gross. he is the one whos going to fumble and/or throw an INT and cause the bears to lose.
