The USA always think they know better and they drop hints that they are stronger...so of course they will always expect the UK (and the rest of the world) to do as they say.
Their motto should be:
Do as we say, not as we do...(or else).

It has got worse I think since Bush Jnr came to power...he has reduced the USAs popularity to almost 0% around the world.
When will they realise that as a people...they are not well liked, they are actually feared.
America is big on nothing, they need the countries in the far east or their country would come to a halt...no petrol, no power.
The question is, just how long will other countries put up with them?
Maybe our next PM will say...sorry but we can do without your bullying ways.
Let us hope that Brown won't be another butt monkey to Bush :o)

Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

Personally, Id rather the UK be the 51st US State in a proactive US rather than a liberal wishy washy hack of a European Union.

Of course not, we're the 51st state (although without the immigration privileges)

Is that an opinon a lot of you folks have over there? Or is that just how you see it? Just curious.
I can't say for sure, but from what I see, we don't see England like that here in the U.S.

I fear that poor old blighty will have to wait for the US to collapse in a similar way to the USSR in order to gain our freedom.
