Well, since it's a circle, which is 360 degrees, and there's 8 equal sectors. 360/8 = 45 degrees per sector.

Now, for the area.. just find the area of the whole thing:
a = PI * (R^2) = 3.14159 * 2^2 = 12.566 sq inches for the whole circle
12.566 / 8 = 1.59 sq inches per sector
