How was ANDRO even compared chemically to testosterone? The formulas are'nt even close. Andro (C19H26O2), Test (C8H14O2) it's not as if the human body adds, or subtracts the required molecules to convert it. If you could alter substances in this way people would be turning ordinary table sugar (C6H12O6), into cocaine (C17H2N04) and selling it by the 5 pound bag. Don't believe the hype.

He was very open about his use of Andro. It was when the Question "Did you ever Knowingly take STEROIDS"? was asked at the congressional hearings that he decided against being open. He chose not to talk about the past, he could have denied taking steroids but chose not to talk about them. Anyone can use a little logic and decide whether or not he was ALSO using steroids. So I assume the "experts" just paid attention to his own testimony on whether or not he used "STEROIDS" ....or lack of an answer as was the case and figured out the obvious. It isnt as if he was the only user but if he didnt use them then the question is "Why wouldnt you just say you didnt take them"? He is the only one who truly "knows" but the "experts" know as well. The only "HYPE" that was created was done by him that fateful day, not the "experts".

I've seen biographical information that was obvious vandalism (that is, someone clearly just wrote in a libelous line somewhere in the article), but I haven't really seen information integrated into the article that was false. But remember, that's not what's important. Clearly false information isn't going to stay in an article for long. WHat's more concerning at Wikipedia is ATTRIBUTION. That is, it's not about whether information is right or wrong, but whether there is a reliable source to back it up. Because if there's no source, even if the information is probably true, you can bet it won't be in the article for long. That's what a lot of people overlook. WIkipedia isn't just a compilation of random facts and ideas people have, lumped together in a messy pile on a website (that's what Yahoo! Answers is). Citations are a very important part of Wikipeda. If information isn't cited, it shouldn't be in the article.

This is all moot at point at this time. The Hall has decided and the big red druggy is not getting in. Case closed.

However they have opened up a Hall of Shame and Peter Rose was the first inductee at approximately 3:15 pm EST. McGwire is schedule for 5:15 pm. I'm sure he's a lock but keep your fingers crossed.

1. The stuff the he and Canseco used during their bash boys days was straight up steroids period, no way around it.
Canseco admitted to using but McGwire was too much of a coward to confessed he used as well.

2. The stuff that you have listed Mark used during the time he hit all of those "BS" home runs in St.Louis. The substance was not banned in baseball at the time but was banned in every other major sport including the Olympics. Once baseball found out it's effect they banned the substance as well.

"So do believe the hype" His big red a-- is not getting in and that's that.

Coming on here trying to defend McGwire is like coming on here trying to defend Pete Rose.

They both deserve to be put in the Hall of Shame.

Goodnight!!

Everyone knows he did steroids, just like everyone knows Bonds did them.
