how do i make piano arrangements?

like hear a song you like, then to be able to know what chords on the left hand work with the melody

i play the piano and am composing ( sorta )but i dont know exactly what you mean could you please specify on what you want... well that requires a really good sense of ear like ok you have to noodle around for awhile like try say C major if its happy if its dark its minor and diminished sorta sounds wrong and sinister and augmenive sounds just odd ok so try to figure out which one you hear and then... try to figure out what key it is in and where it exactly falls on the piano and if you know the melody say it was c major then you could do the c major chord well youd do it first in the beginning because it has to start on a one and then switch to 4 and 5 those are the main chords but not the only but is probably what the songs are built upon the one four and five chord( like the begginning of happy birthday is ddedgf# base clef ) (# is a sharp sign) then people ornate upon it like make it in chords and and stuff so you just basically have to find the main melody and and what key it is in and sorta the timing if you tell me what song it is maybe i can help but it is actually pretty hard to do so if you want to learn the song i'd suggest buying the book
