my husband is going to afghanistan on his second deployment and i need some new and different ideas on stuff to send him in his goodie packages.

well if u can cause i knwo like it depends on what u can send him so if u can u should send like a pillow case from home or just some little things that can help him feel closer to u.
if u have little kids then send him some of their clothes that they outgrow when he is gone. so he gets an idea of how big they are or i guess arent anymore

we created care packages a short time ago. try to get people involved and help out so you can send packages for others without families. we put things in the packs like gum, letters, cards, filtered masks, gloves, and other things of enjoyment like book, games etc. one group of soldiers wrote me back saying that was the stuff they needed most b/c it made them feel like they were home. hope i helped :)

My suggestion is to read "the five love languages". Its a really simple book but it provides a useful framework for understanding how someone receives love. Using the framework you can make your own idea lists that will fit him better than any strangers suggestion could, and more importantly they will mean the most to him.

Send him personal pictures....(catch the hint) let him know you are still there and that gives him something to look forward too, send him pictures of your kids, if you have any, send him somethng that has your sent on it, a man loves the smell of his girl especially when he is away..

sexy pics of you in lingerie. pics of the kids or pets if you have any. his favorite snack. A tape recorded message of your voice. How about some fortune cookies to keep him and boys entertained.

send him some small things he likes like snacks or send him some pictures of you and your familys together that would make him feel more like home....
