I had some fish in the freezer, and I took it out to place in the refrigerator to unthaw, but I don't know how to determine whether or not it can be eaten.

I don't know if you're serious :) but there is very limited fish that you can't eat.

The puffer and boxfish would be one which you rather not try since the toxin in their body would probably kill you if you don't remove it properly.

Other wise I don't know any others that you can't eat but that is if you cook them well.

If it reeks of fishy smell its bad don't eat it. Frozen fish never tastes as good as never been frozen fish. When you buy it cook it that night. I used to work at Pappadeaux so I know too much about edible fish!
