Personally,i'm partial to them hiring an unknown(a' la Bill Cowher)..but i won't rule out them bringing in a tom coughlin or jon gruden type

The Steelers need to do what they did in 1992. Go outside the organization and find that "special coach". I don't think Whisenhunt or Grimm are anything special. Look what the Jets did with Mangini - they went after the next great coach. The Steelers did this with Cowher in 1992. There has to be another gem in the making.

Recently, I have heard rumors that Marvin Lewis of the Cincinnati Bengals was a possible replacement for Bill Cowher, but I seriously doubt that Lewis would leave his job in Cincinnati for Pittsburgh. Right now, it is up in the air and most likely Whisenhunt or Grimm will get the vacant Steelers head coach spot.

My thinking is that the job will go to either Whisenhunt or Grimm. I say that just because Cowher was there for so long, and they will want to maintain stability rather than shake things up.

yeah actually they have interviewed ron rivera who is currently the defensive coordinator for the chicago bears, i'm thinking it's gonna be grimm or whisenhunt more then likely but keep in mind they are both interviewing with other teams that have open head coaching positions, so it could come down to who offers the most money, and we all know the steelers just don't do that.
