Details? Has this ever happened to anyone so soon after giving birth while breastfeeding? I'll be thrilled if I am but I just don't know.

To the person who answered a question with a question in regard to irish twins...just because there are irish twins in the world does not mean that their mothers were nursing at all let alone exclusively when they got pregnant again...that is my question...not if its just possible to get pregnant twice in a year.

Yep! This can totally happen. Whilst it's not that likely brestfeeding shouldnt ever be used as a form of birth control. If you are pregnant then good luck to you. I'm sure it'll be hard work but when the kids are older they will be close and have someone to play with. these things happen for a reason!

Good Luck

Yes it has happened before. My children are exactly 11 months apart. My daughter's bday is Jan. 30 her brother came Jan. 2 the following year. They are the same age for 28 days. Changes are very good to become pregnant.

they say breastfeeding exclusivley is as effective as condoms the first 6 months. But that doesn't mean its impossible to be prego. You very well could be, although the breastfeeding does make it harder. Since you most likely haven't had your period yet your Dr will problay do a blood test to make sure. Go see him and find out. Good luck.

You could be pregnant, a few people I know fell pregnant while breastfeeding when their baby was 6months old. Do you know if your ovulating? My ob told me that if you are breastfeeding your baby at all between 1am and 6am that the chance of becoming pregnant are low, but I dont believe that, but who knows.

Anyways good luck if you are pregnant

I was nursing and got pregnant ten months post pardum. Nursing is a great way to keep from getting pregnant, but it is by no means fool proof. Get a test and if it's negative you still have time to get on a birth control pill that won't be bad for your nursing baby. (the "mini-pill" I think it's called.) :)

Yeah it is possib;le. You know how the doctor says wait 6 weeks before having sex after you gave birth. Because it gets the uterus back to its smaller size. Then after that you can have sex. So when you have sex, it is possible to get pregnant again. But I also heard that if you breastfeed, it is possible to not get your period for up unitl a year. The only way to find out is to get a test done.
