I've been tested for ADHD and that's not it, but there's always more than just one thought going through my mind. I can focus on one thing, but there are always millions of little random questions and thoughts buzzing around in there. sometimes it's almost like I can hear them all chatting away. It's IMPOSSIBLE for me to completely clear my mind, and this makes it kind of hard to get to sleep, but eventualy I do, just to have lots of dreams. I can think things out better than a lot of people I know and I remember lots of little tiny details that usually no one would even think much about. like I can tell you that the box next to my grandma's treadmill is a yellowed white color with the masking tape label "Gentri's records" even thought I dont know a Gentri and I've only seen it once before. Just that type of thing. I sometimes forget details and dates so I dont think I'm like rainman or anything. Could you explain what's going on or why I'm like this?

It's probably just a mild form of either anxiety or just meticulousness. Anxiety would explain the thoughts running around your head--even if they're not bad nervous thoughts like how you get before a speech in front of a huge crowd--anxiety doesn't necessarily mean being nervous about bad things happening; it's kinda like being jittery. The meticulousness would explain the little details. I have a friend who remembers the weirdest things yet can't remember the big picture. It's just a different point of view of the world. A lot of people actually remember little details rather than the big picture. It's probably nothing unusual and it might or might not go away with time. As long as it doesn't physically affect you or bother you, you're probably just fine.

LOL...me and my mom are just like you. my mom is always getting lost, because she thinks about a million things at a time. I also find myself thinking of something else, when i try to focus on something, like a test. I also find it hard to sleep, but sometimes i don't have dreams. I know how you feel, and i think it just has to do with being smart =] cuz i'm pretty sure ure a smart person as well, seeing as how you can think things out better than other ppl.

You could be intellectually gifted. Check out Hoagie's Gifted. A lot of symptoms of ADHD overlap with giftedness. It's possigle to have both, but some kids appear to have ADHD just because they're bored in school. They get what the teacher's talking about after one sentence, but she talks about it for the whole class.

perhapse ADHD and you have a photographic memory?

the ADD will make you less able to concentrate, and the H will only intencify the problem, then if you have a photographic memory its not a long jump to whats goin on with you now..
