I always do it after, mostly because the mascara holds the curl better then without it.
Also for someone who has a hard time curling your eyelashes or your eyelashes are short you can curl them before and after applying the mascara.
another quick tip on eyelash curlers is to heat up the curler (only like the metal ones not the plastic ones) with a hair dryer for like 2 seconds (make sure its not to hot!) and then curl your eyelashes. Do this only in desperation with really stubburn eyelashes!!

I curl my eyelashes before applying mascara. I tried it the other way before and the mascara stuck to the eyelash curler.

you may in consumer-friendly words curl in the previous you practice your mascara, it truly is because after the mascara is on, once you curl it, its a lot less flattering, and may smash your eyelashes. try now to not curl your eyelashes after utilizing mascara * a good trick to keep your eye lashes curled is to (for particular events because doing this to a lot might want to be too undesirable.) in case your eyelash roller is metallic, you'll get a lighter, or experience and positioned the flame on accurate of the eyelash roller, remote from the rubber bottom, if achieveable, then contact the metallic, ****be sure its no longer TOO warm, basically warmth, and curl your eyelashes, your eyelashes will stay curled all day guaranteed, the end result's such as a curling iron. good success and performance relaxing! :)

I use a heated eyelash curler I picked up at the local drugstore. It works great, I use it first then apply the mascara. It will not burn U -U use it the same way as a regular eyelash curler,it's NOT a miniature curling iron,it has a little red rubber strip that when heated turns clear then it is ready for use.It runs off batteries and it is small enough to fit in my make up bag. I really do like it...

Before! Like hairspray that keeps the curl in your hair, mascara keeps is like hairspray for your eyelashes. Plus curling them after your apply mascara will cause breakage of the eyelash and nobody likes that!

It depends how much your particular mascara sticks to the curler. I've used several different types of mascara with my lash curler, and with some it worked better before, others afterwards.
