What is so bad about the word?

I wanna know what is so bad about the n word and the word cracker I mean the n word niger is a country in africa and cracker is just something you eat?Even though I would never say the N word

The word itslef is just an ordinary word, just like the f-word or the s-word. It's the way that people use it that's bad. Both are racial slurs and although the word itself is just an ordinary word you find in many books and dictionaries, it's the way it's used and how people say it to hurt others that make them such bad words.

Niger is the country in Africa. Not the "n" word ( it has two g's) .

Cracker has a different conntation. White people aren't typically economically or polictically disenfranchised.

Poor people have the toughest times whether black or white. America is being turned into a country based on classism. Just rich and the poor.

Niger is competely different than the N word, I mean can you read?

Language is very powerful and saying it's 'just a word' does not even explain the connotation and intensity of it. Are you saying language has no value or impact? If so then why I are you using it to ask your question? Because it obviously conveys some sort of expression or meaning.

The N word is degrading towards us (blacks), because TO ME it is like saying I am stupid and I will never become anything in life because I am black. Really it suppose to make me feel bad for being black or like a slave. Because slaves were called "N" and everyone knows what slaves had to go through and what kind of life they had no choice of living. So I would not want to resimble a slave. That's why it is bad and for the word cracker I really don't know because I don't know how whites would act.

well theres a bad word for every race, and cracker is one of them for white people. for me i had friends that were white and some times i called them that and they didnt seem mad at all, so you should ask it to some of your white friends and see how they react

Words themselves don't hurt people. It's the malicious way they are used to offend and degrade other humans that does.

****** was a term used to call the poor african slaves long ago, as an insult
so when you use it nowadays your insulting them
"hey *****" = "hey poor black african slave"
