Do you believe in Gays and Lesbians?

Please don't get me wrong i have a brother who is gay and while i respect the fact that he thinks he's gay i wonder if it's true. I mean when a man and a woman come together they can create a baby. Fundamentally when two women come together nothing same goes for two men apart from the love thing. I just don't get it and i'm open minded in alot of things. If men were meant to be with men and women with women why wasn't just one sex created. I'm not a god fearing person either. I understand not everyone will feel the same way i do and i'm cool with that. I'm just curious as to what everyone else thinks.

I think I know where you're coming from... but I'm sure you can agree that you've come across at least a few people who shouldn't be able to conceive, whether it be because they are WAY too young, or not able to provide food/shelter, not a good person, will eventually abuse the child, etc. It's my thought that perhaps gay people exist to, believe it or not, ensure the survival of the population. Perhaps gay people were not meant to have children naturally because they were meant to adopt and support children who were unfortunate enough to be brought into this world by inadequate parents. I know this doesn't completely stay on topic with the physiology concept in your question. I'm just suggesting that perhaps physiology should not be used as a starting point for justification because of what it DOES allow.

Well honey you said, nothing happens when two people of the same sex come together "apart from the love thing". Isn't that enough? Does every sexual act have to produce a child? That is some warpped Roman Catholic doctrine.

The "love thing" that you dump on the trash pile is a wonderful thing, it brings two people closer than they could ever be any other way. It's a spiritual moment and the fact that it was created pleasurable for either hetero, gay, or lesbian couples is proof enough for me that God smiles on them.

What is love? is making a baby the only form of love? NO. Love can be expressed in many ways! Some people love through letters, they may not know them but what they know of them they love! They can't make a baby that way, but isn't that love? Do you think that being Lesbian or Gay is not true simple because they can't make a child? We were created this way so the opposite genders can make children and keep the population alive. Just because you cannot create a child doesn't mean you can't love or it isn't real.

Honestly, I mean this one hundred percent, I'm not lying, not making anything up. If I could, I would much rather be attracted to and with females. I have never, ever had any desire to though. I guarantee you, I did not chose to fancy other men. It's horrible becuase the freedom isn't really there to say how you feel, people can react so bad to things they don't believe in. You really shouldn't doubt it if people tell you they are gay. The first crush I had was on a boy in like 1st grade, before I even knew what homosexuality is. I don't even understand it myself, and am a bit bitter. I'm coming to grips with who I am though, and it would make it so much easier on me and others in the same situation if people wouldn't doubt us and say it's our choice. Who would chose this kind of frustration and pain?

there's a big difference between "love" and "having babies"

the other side of the coin, so many straight male-female couples marry and have sex and have babies, yet they are not in love.. and many of them cheat on each other..

society creates this silly idea that everyone should be straight and everyone should be in a monoganous relationship..

in reality, 10% are gay, and probably 60 of the remaining 90% are straight, yet cheat or marry without love..

i've never had a serious relationship and i am too old to make babies.. at least i feel i am too old to start a family

so when it comes time for me to chose a partner (male or female) thinking about making babies will not be a priority.. it will be about love, trust, respect, and faithfulness..

It comes down to attraction. Some gays/lesbians have children, while others don't have that desire. Gay sexual behaviors go back to the start of time. Gay sexaul behavior can be seen also in nature, such as animals. There are good gay people just as there are good straight people, then there are bad gay people, as there are bad straight people. Most gays just try to live their life as normal as possible. We pay work, pay taxes, and have the same desires as straights, we just don't want to sleep with the opposite sex. We just try to take it one day at a time, as many straights do.

If I don't believe in being gay, I sure need to look over and ask whats-his-name if he's for real. I believe in the spirit of Santa Claus, and of course I've never seen God but I truly believe in His spirit. So, I have to be consistant and at least believe in the spirit of being gay. I sure would hate to find out there is no Santa, so I'll stop there.
