Okay, anyone who grew up in the eighties might have a clue to this one. In my day they crashlanded on Earth but I think Michael Bay's planning a full scale invasion. They're giant robots who can transform into vehicles and pieces of machinery. The evil Decepticons want to conquer Earth for some reason and the Heroic Autobots want to stop them. the deceptikons want to enslave the earth. the autobots, led by optimus prime, seek to defend humanity and thus battle their mechanoid brothers. both sides can transform from their robot forms to a vehicle, insect, other objects. a strange concept to say the least but quite popular since the mid-1980s.

optimus prime leader of the goodies(autobots), he's the lorry. cant remember the name of the leader of the baddies but he turns into a gun!
