Depending on the type of squirrel, social behaviors vary. Red Squirrels are solitary creatures and prefer to live alone all year long, except when raising young. However, gray and flying squirrels are solitary during the summer, but will often stay together in large groups (of up to 24 squirrels) during the winter to keep warm.

an identical position they stay contained in the summer season, they basically spend more effective time in thier dens. in the experience that they are floor squirrels, they oftentimes hibernate, in the experience that they are tree squirrels they often scatter-hoard food and spend a comfortable wintry climate in thier drey ingesting the food and popping out for thier stashes on helpful days.
