I've used baby oil successfully to remove eye make up (virgin olive oil is my preference), but for the rest of the face, use something else unless your skin is extremely tight-pored. We can get away using pure oil as a make up remover around eyes because there are few pores to clog and the skin is thin, so that oily residue is a boost to eye areas.

Yes it is very effective... i can vouch for it! I know many models use it after a heavy shoot and it works wonders and is easy on the skin. Don't use loads though... what i do is pour a little bit into my hands then apply on top of make up etc.. you then take some damp cotton wool and wipe it all off until most of the oil has been removed as well. If you have dry skin and need to apply cream afterwards, i would recommend using a little bit to begin with in order to avoid clogging the paws cuz there will always be a little oil remaining on the skin! Good Luck trying it out!

It is probably okay, but will be quite messy. It will also take a lot of time because as soon as you're done removing the make up, you have to really scrub your fact to get all the oil off of it. And, if you're like me, you don't need to add any extra oil to your face.

You're better off using a fragrance-free, allergen-free, oil-free facial moisturizing lotion.

I have mascara that is incredibly difficult to remove and I actually use my "under eye" moisturizer to remove the mascara at night. This way, I'm sure that the material is safe for my skin AND my eyes, in case I accidentally get it there.

Please, no! There is a big difference between facial and body products. Any pure oil over your face will cause dirt- looking shiny skin with black pores. Because your skin needs to breathe. The soap also is not the right decision. There are special make up removing products for lips and eye make up-it`s also oily and gently, but it doesn`t stay oily after and it`s not for the whole face.

Baby oil maybe effective but if you can afford look at the shelves in the cosmetics area in your local stores or pharmacy and you will see a bunch of makeup removers.

Baby Oil is a good make up remover but I find that it can get into your eyes and make them a bit misty. We have use it to remove greasepaint when running clown workshops as it is cheaper than make up remover.

I haven't tried it...but I think it would make your face really pimply cause, well, it has oil in the name! I just use eye makeup remover...it works for the rest of your face too.

I don't wear make up so I wouldn't know ....it makes my fur stick together..

I do know that baby oil is excellent for polishing stainless steel fridges, cooker hoods ,etc. just rub on a small amount with a paper towel. Shines it up a treat and removes all those paw prints.

I have used it before when I was out of remover. I also like to use it in the winter when my skin is really dry around my eyes.

It works really good, but first wash your face then whatever is still left on your eyes take a cotton ball and put baby oil and rub it on your eyes and that should work.
