Just drink LOTS of water and make sure you are taking prenatal vitamins (one a day) Try and eat healthy ( i know its hard when traveling) Bring fruit along with you like an orange or banana instead of junk food. Stay away from coffee. My doc told me one cup (8oz) a day is okay if you cant do with out it but its better not to. Relax as much as possible too. Call your doc back and see if you can get in earlier. Mine had me in at 6 weeks they didnt want to wait...you shouldnt have to either!

Traveling early in your pregnancy is not usually a problem. Traveling late is usually not recommended. I was very tired early on in both of my pregnancies though, as were most of my friends. Make sure you eat well, take your prenatal vitamins, and schedule yourself plenty of down time between trips. Travel light also. No heavy lifting, so pack lighter than usual, and use a wheeled cart or have a valet carry your bags. Try to eat especially healthy, which was hard for me on the road. I started packing my own snacks. A little pre-planning for your trips and you should be fine! Best of luck!

Traveling while pregnant is fine. Your body will be able to perform at its same level as it did pre-pregnancy up to at least 6months into the pregnancy. At that point you might find yourself slowing down. Just be sure to drink lots of water to keep hydrated. I would also check into getting a prescription for your prenatal vitamins now, as the sooner you start taking them the more benefit you will get. Also, if traveling for more than 3 hours at a time, I would recommend that you make sure you allow yourself time to stop, stretch and walk around a little bit to help with your blood flow in your lower extremities. As you get farther along your blood volumn will increase to help the baby and sitting for long periods of time can hamper some of the blood flow to your legs and feet causing swelling and muscle cramps. Water will help with this also.

You're supposed to go about life as usual when pregnant, not stop doing things. Your body is created to continue under its normal conditions and stress levels when pregnant, usually by the 8th month your doctor doesnt want you more than 200 miles from home, for reasons of being near YOUR hospital incase you go into labor.
But anything you've always done when not pregnant is safe while pregnant. Unless you're bleeding, or have other complications.
I was one the road driving 200 miles a day or better until I was nearly 8 months.

If you are worried about flying, I ask my doctor when I was early on in my pregnancy and she said that it was fine just to try and drink a glass of water for every hour you are in the air. This might be kinda hard with the new laws though. And unfortunately depending on how far you are flying you might have to stand in line on the plane for the bathroom =) Just remember to take your prenatal vitamins, they are not only good for the baby but they will help you as well. Try not to over tire your self. CONGRATS!!
