how do I get a lighter skin tone on my face?

I am brown and I would like to know how to make my skin a lighter color especially on my face.

Exfoliation is actually good for your skin. Some beauty supply shops have "fairness creams" that are supposed to lighten your skin tone, but some of these products can be very harsh on your skin and can cause burning and/or itching. Avoid anything that contains bleach or peroxide. Regular exfoliation in combination with diligent use of sunblock is your best bet. My SO is Indian, and has tried to lighten his dark brown skin - don't know why, he's gorgeous. He ultimately ditched the 'fairness' cream for sunblock after his whole face broke out in hives!
Whatever you do - make sure that you lighten your skin uniformly. It's gonna look pretty weird if your face is noticeably lighter than the rest of you! In my humble opinion, healthy brown skin is beautiful and you're probably just fine just the way you are!

There are a lot of bleeching creams, go to the cosmetic isle in your pharmacy or supermarkets and they are there just read the instructions before purchase.

exfoliate (o man i cant spell haha) it as directed on the bottle, i reccomend netrogena stuff.
also, paula's choice skin lightening gel if its like, dark spots
