I have recently learned that Pete Tong is used in cockney rhyming slang for, what I imagine, is 'gone wrong'.
I am not sure if this is accurate, but I am lead to believe that 'Eartha Kitt' also has a meaning.

It's a form of speaking where rhyming words are used instead of the actual words. eg Apples and Pears = stairs Plates of Meat = feet. It's continually being updated to include modern words. Here's a link to a cockney rhyming slang dictionary:
