Does it bother you when you are in a restaurant and the busboys are cleaning the tables that they use the same towel to clean both the table and the seats with? Sometimes cleaning the seats first. This happens in many restaurants, both high and low class. I feel that is a little unsanitary or am I being anal?

It bothers me tremendously! I have a 2 1/2 year old and I will carry my own antibacterial wet wipes to wipe down the table, high chair/booster seat, and occasionally the actual seats if they look like they need it. Some people may think I'm anal, but it is better than having to care for a sick toddler at home later on. I agree that something different needs to be done by restaurants to have a sanitary dining experience.

Actually, that really bothers me, too. But then again, I have OCD, and it's not a big surprise that something like that would bother me.

But even if I didn't have the OCD, I think it would bother me still, because the tabletop should be cleaned with a separate towel, IMO. The seats should have their own clean towels to be used exclusively on the seats.

It is a little unsanitary. You are correct. I don't really think it could ever cause anything disastrous to occur, but it just bothers me, because I like for my clothes to be very clean.

No you are not being anal. I agree 100%, very unsanitary. When I go out I bring Sanitizing Wipes and I Clean my own Table. There are more then 2000 diff. Little germs swimming around in that nasty water that they use.

No, I don't think you're being anal. If you were anal you would be concerned about how they cleaned the tables, In a circulation motion or from left to right. We all have our problems with how restaurants handle things, and how we would change them. Don't worry, your not being anal.

To be honest it doesn't really bother me as long as they are sanitizing the towel. If this is really bothering you should reconsider eating out, because things in the kitchen are much more unsanitary than that, and that's actually dealing with your food.

I don't consider this as unsanitary, since I eat my food from a plate or bowl, not from the table directly. I also make sure that my utensils do not touch the table.

I can almost see your anus in your picture, so yes, you are being anal. But as far as being unsanitary, unless there is a table cloth, I agree with you.

never really noticed it before, but you're right. restaurants should be doing everything they can to make sure that things are clean - first of all to keep people healthy and second to help business. no one will go back to a gross restaurant that is filthy.

It really don't matter because they use a solution that disinfects at they are supposed to. But you are very correct they should use a different towel for the chairs no matter what.
