I haven't been online for 10 days because I went on a trip and all of the sudden my bookmarks have been erased so I'm going to have a bit of a tough time figuring things out again. When I got online everything was normal, I went to all the same website and all of the sudden Firefox asks me to set a profile. This has never happened before, so I set a profile and it just it got reseted.I already tried to restore Windows XP to the date before I left twice and I still can't restore anything. Does anyone have an idea how to restore all my bookmarks? I have links to important sites I need for assignments and my plans on finding a job when I graduate... Thanks a lot!

If you didn't backup your bookmarks you are pretty much out of luck here. That is what backup is for, to make sure in this sort of instance you can restore your data. I am really sorry you lost it all, but not much to do about it now. Perhaps you will back it all up once you have compiled the bookmarks again.

Good luck and real sorry about this hassle. One last thought: Do you have any idea why they were lost in the first place? It could be a virus or other form of malware, so it would be a good idea to run your Security solution with a full scan to be sure you don't have any nasties lurking on your sytem ready to wipe them or anything else either, out again.

Go to search in the start menu and do a search for the file bookmarks.html and make note to where it is. Open Mozilla Firefox and from the bookmarks menu select Organize Bookmarks in the window that comes up go to the file menu and select Import select the bookmarks.html file that you found in the search.

go to the start menu, then accessories, system tools, then choose system restore. Restore the computer to about two weeks back unless you made changes since then that you dont want to be lost. This is all I can think of

hmm,, bypass for your C force or anyplace force abode windows is put in, bypass to records and settings folder, the bypass to the folder with significant username, then applications records, in case you may't see it then you truthfully favor to enable view hidden records and folders from folder concepts, then bypass to mozilla folder, then i imagine hearth fox , then inspite of folder call is there and ultimately bypass to bookmarks backup folder, you may import it for your new firefox . lengthy way,yet nicely worth it in case you receive alot of strong bookmarks.
