If i was able to find a computer with these specs, for $620, is it a good deal?

Core2duo6400
XP Media Center
250GB SATA II Hard Drive
1GB RAM
DVD-ROM Drive
256MB nVidia Geforce 7300LE TurboCache
keyboard and mouse

So is this a good deal?
(It does not have a monitor or speakers yet)

It's a great deal, but you should get 2 gb of ram, you will see a big performance gain. Also, if you plan to do anything other than basic computing, get a better video card. For photo and video a radeon x1300pro ($100) or geforce 7300gt ($100) are ok, for medium gaming performance a geforce 7900gs($150) or radeon x1950 pro ($180) (both are somewhat high end but great deals), and for high end a radeon x1900xt ($200) (by far the best deal, only $20 than x1950 pro). For super fast gaming the best deal would be the geforce 8800gts ($360). All of these prices are from newegg, and when it comes to video cards, speakers, and monitors, they are the best place. And if your worried about installing a video card, its easy. Just unscrew the 2 screws on the pci-express x16 port on mobo, take out old card, put in new card, screw it back in. And you should check to see if you are getting a vista upgrade free with that if you care about vista.

I've seen worse deals that cost more.
If you are wanting to do heavy gaming I would recomend you get another Gb of ram.

The Video card will do well for todays games but it will be obsolite in 6 months.

If I had the money I would buy it as a secondary computer for my friends to use.
Go for it man, if anything you could sell it to a friend for a little more cash :D

It's OK except for the DVD. Dual layer recorders are so cheap now every computer should have them.
