I'm starting a new business and would like to find out how much it would cost to advertise it. It's my first time doing this.

Did you know you can look in the front of your phone directory for their number and they'll sic an account rep on you faster than you can blink, who will jump through hoops to answer your question?

They, of course want to sell you the "biggest" (that means expensive) ad available. And they'll recite numbers about how many people look through their book, blah, blah, blah.

Get their rates, write them down, think about it and get back to them. Most times their rates are negotiable, btw.

My advice: See what your competition is doing; Ask yourself, do you want to bite the bullet and jump head first into this game--meaning get the larger ad because you're new, or go conservative--keeping your costs low.

Something to consider: Check if the Yellow page advertising company is the same as your phone service; if it is you may want to switch--they threaten phone shutoff (even tho' they can't) in the event of non-payment of your monthly yellow page advertising, should you get in a bind.

well u came to the right person
i am not sure abt the exact amount because it first depends on were u live-ur country yellowpages

if u r looking only for listings it will cost u annually payments ( i guess not too much)

what really costs a lot is banners online and ads in the directory
the ads in directory have different sizes, but it's really expensive

i recommend listing as a start - yellowpages is a very good way to advertise for ur business because the customer will be lookig for YOU when he is looking in yelowpages

Way to expensive for a new business, wait until you make enough money to live on for six months.
