My son is the same. Every day he receives prunes either by themself or mixed with something else. It only takes a few spoonfuls to keep them regular. Or, you can try gerbers prune apple juice in a sippy. This helps considerably and is easier on thier little tummies than chemical means. Also I find that barley cereal isnt as binding as the rice. Good Luck.

You can try putting a tsp of dark Karo Syrup in his bottle once a day. If this does not help then you can give prune or apple juice at 50%. Give two oz of water mixed with two oz of prune or apple juice. If this does not work you may want to look at the food he is eating. We had to switch to oatmeal cereal for my son because the rice cereal made him constipated and it solved the problem. Good luck.

Try giving him some watered down prune juice. My friend said she got suppositories at the pharmacies but I've heard not to do that to much because they can become dependent on them and not use the bathroom by theirselves.
I also used kyro syrup in the milk. The light colored one at the grocery store.

watered down prune juice works okay, I had better luck with Mylicon drops they are used for heartburn and gas but it usually made my kids go poo. Now that you baby is on solid he will be constipated for the next couple weeks

there is a product by little noses and it is for baby constipation... i gave my son it when he was 4 months and hadn't gone for awhile.. i forgot what it was called but ask a pharmicist or a doc then can also prescribe you what you need too. prune juice is not good for babies under one.. so i have been told by my doctor, i was going to try that also... that is a big no no.

I had the same problem with my oldest. They told us to give him Milk of Magnesia. Unfortunately he is almost 3 and still struggles sometimes. Double check with your own doc before giving him any medication though. You can also try more fiber. Maybe some spinach. Good luck!

Generally for children that young..I would say baby suppositories.
Not too pleasant for the child to have that done, but after it makes them have a BM the child will feel much better.
Prune juice also works if you can get them to drink it...
hope this helped

what are you feeding him? he probably needs more fiber. if you are feeding him any kind of oat meal or warm cereal you should buy some "all bran" cereal and pour it in before heating. it has 50% of the daily fiber value in 1/3 a cup for an adult. hope that helps. other than that, he needs more fresh fruits and vegetables.
