Wow, thank God brought that to everyone's attention then. They have been overlooked far too long.

Vietnam was a loss from the military point of view. I don't know if failure is the appropriate word. The US was trying to stop the spread of communism. Seeing how the USSR dissolved in the 90's perhaps Vietnam was the first straw to lead to the eventual breaking of the camel's back. Different ways to look at everything.
Korea was a win. The goal wasn't to get rid of the north, but to stop them from invading the south. My Korean military histroy isn't that great, but I think the 38th parallel was the boundary before the war and was the boundary after the war. Mission accomplished.
To me, the jury is still out in Iraq. The US led the overthrow of the old regime and has established a new political system. So far it is a win; however, if the US leaves and everything reverts back to the old system, then yes it would be a loss.
What some people forget, the US (and its allies) were still fighting insurgents in Germany for up to 10 years after the war ended. That was 10 years after the previous regime rules for about 10 years prior to it. In Iraq, the regime was there for longer and then there are also the anti-American agendas of many groups that are acting in Iraq.
With all of that said, I would love to see the US say "screw it" to many of the other countries out there that the US is giving aid and support. Think of how many countries are getting farm subsides from the US, military technology, etc. I say screw them and let them fend for themselves.

No. We have always been notoriously bad at colonizing because we don't colonize (the Phillipeans being a rare exception). We took out Iraq's army not once, but twice. Remember Gulf War I?
Militarily we do just fine, its occupation we can't get a handle on. Which is a good trait if you want to know the truth. We aren't ruthless enough for that, and I hope we never will be.
If that appears weak, tough

First korea was a police action. Second, theres one reason those wars were lost. Lack of support. In Vietnam much of the American population did not support the troops. They even went so far as to help the enemy.( Ex: Jane Fonda giving the Vietcong morale boosts. Her picture is in the Vietnam War Museum for the North Vietnamese. ) Lack of support is also failing us in Iraq. "OMG we didn't win the war in 4 days and a couple thousand died, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES". If we supported the troops ("I voted for it before I voted against it") and the president in this (imo) policing of the Mid East, we would have won already.

i wouldn't characterize the us as weak in the eyes of the rest of the world. our standing in the rest of the world has fallen a bit with the war in iraq however i'm sure you could ask anyone anywhere in the world and they will say the us is still the most powerful nation.
also, in your list you forgot to mention that we won the cold war, we won the first war in iraq, we brought peace to the balkans, we landed on the moon, we apprehended a sitting dictator in panama, we bailed out the mexican economy, we helped with the asian crisis, we've encouraged human rights more than any other nation...and of course, do not forget that we have had some success at nation building. remember, we built modern japan and germany.

Korea a failure... Hmmm... I don't think you studied that war at all. One, which I might add, is not declared over. AND, to add to this, the UN went to Korea, and the US is currently there under a Security Council Resolution, which monitors a cease-fire.

That I know of, the U.S. has only lost in Vietnam. The U.S. still looks like the world's strongest country. Maybe Korea and Iraq together are stronger.

The Americans are good at fighting big traditional wars like WW2. They struggle with guerrilla wars like Iraq and Vietnam.

Failure in those three countires seem to be in your eyes only and probably promted by your dimwited ideas stemmed from the far left and the drive by media of which neither could find the butt with both hands and a road map!

Obviously. All what you see is bully tactics. Of course, inviting conflagration when you know you are a punk, usually brings the whole world down around your ears. You get weaker. Then you have to ask yourself two things: Do I have any friends? Are they gonna help me?
Then there's cause and effect. The natural outworking of consequence of one's actions. Ever wonder why Israel is constantly on somebody's $h1tL!$T?
