I aslo would like to hear some opinions about thsi new law. It's called Joshua's Law if you would like to research it. They're are two different days on which it is said he died, and I am not sure. Help? Thanks to all!

He died on July 9th, 2003. You can read it in Georgia's Senate Bill 226 which passed and amended the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.

Personally, I think it's a good idea to restrict the number of non-related passengers a newly licensed teenager may have in a vehicle. Colorado enacted a similar law a few years ago. Unfortunately, there are still several deaths that occur as a result of wreckless driving by teenagers who had other teenagers in the vehicle with them. It's still an effective measure nonetheless. Examine these statistics provided by the Colorado Department of Transportation to see how dramatic a change occurred between 2001 and 2004 once the laws were changed.

There is a death certificate on this young man and it's on file with the Georgia office of vital statistics. You'll have to find that website. In my state it is under the Secretary of State's office. So, I can't answer your question, but you can find the answer on line. Whatever date is on the death certificate is the "real" date of death.
