Queen Rania Al-Abdullah (Arabic: رانية العبدالله) (born Rania Al-Yassin on August 31, 1970), is the queen consort of King Abdullah II, the king of Jordan.

Rania Al-Yasin was born in Kuwait to Palestinian parents from Tulkarm. She attended primary and secondary school at New English School in Kuwait, then gained a degree in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. After her graduation in 1991, Queen Rania worked at Citibank before taking a job at Apple Computer in Jordan.

She married then Prince Abdullah on 10 June 1993, and is the Mother of four children; HRH Prince Hussein 28 June, 1994; HRH Princess Iman 27 September, 1996; HRH Princess Salma 26 September, 2000 and HRH Prince Hashem 30 January, 2005.

I assume she was raised Muslim, born in Kuwait to Palestinian parents, but could not find it stated anywhere.

I believe, and someone correct me if I am wrong..that she is actually Palastinian and he wasn't the King when she married him.
