The tampon has nothing to do with period length.
The average female's period is between four and seven days, with the average being about five.
A tampon is the alternative to a hygenic pad, which is inserted into the vagina and is more effective at absorbing the menstrual flow. It neither prevents nor instigates the length of a period.

It should be the same,but for me it was a little longer sometimes without a tampon. I guess it just depends on the person.

It's the same, but would be extremely messy! I think the avg period lasts about 5-7 days, but as u get older the days diminish!

i started using tampons a couple months ago and i noticed that it shortens my period by up to a day

a period is a period. it will last about 7 - 10 days.
and will come every 28 - 30 days

No difference in time.. But change your tampon every couple of hours, especially during your heaviest time.
