From what I can remember from chemistry a solution generally is when a new substance forms after combining 2 or more ingrediants. (something usually dissolves to make a solution)

A mixture still retains those ingrediants on the molecular level.

Ex. Take black sand and white sand...
A mixture is where you mix them together and you can see the grains of white sand along with the grains of black. Think of a solution is where you combine them and it makes all the grains grey (a reaction happened)

Heter- means differing...so if you reached into the mix of sand and pulled out one grain....it will either be black or white sand.(mainly pertains to mixtures)
Homo- means same...so if you reached into solution of sand you could only pull out grey grains. (mainly pertains to solutions)

Mixture-a mixture is when 2 or more substances are mixed in no fixed proportion And can be seperated physically.
tTypes of mixtures:
1:Homogenous -a mixture which has similar properties throughout eg.sugar and water
Alcohol and water
2:Hetrogenus -a mixture in which the properties vary eg.Milk and water....salt And sugar

Solution-a solution is when a solvent (the liquid part)&solute(the solid part)are mixed in a fixed ratio and may or may not seperate physically.eg.Benzene & wax.
Compound - When 2 or 3 substance are chemically combined together .
Propertis of compounds:
Hav A symbol egH20
Substances lose their original properties
cannot b seperated physically
it is an irreversible reaction
homogenus
heat and light r given out .

Hpe this helps!!!!!!!!!!
i can tell u lots more but i dont think u awant details

A solution dissolved in liquid cannot be separated, like koolaide.

A mixture is the blending of two or more dissimilar substances. A major characteristic of mixtures is that the materials do not chemically combine. Mixtures can be divided into those that are evenly distributed (homogeneous) and those that aren't (heterogeneous). The types of mixtures are a suspension, colloid or solution. Examples of mixtures include various combinations of solids, liquids and gases. Separation of mixtures can be by mechanical means, such as by weight, evaporation or other methods.

Mixture is made by mixing two things in any uneven or even ratio. A solution is formed by mixing two substances in a fixed ratio. Heterogenous mixture is a mixture in which the particles of a substance are visible. Eg.- Sand or mud dissolved in water. In an homogenous mixture, the substances get evenly mixed up. Eg.- A cup of tea.

the difference between solution and mixture are as follows-
1 e.g if u mix sugar in water it will form a solution whereas if u mix sand with water it will form a mixture
2 solution will be same everywhere i.e uniform [sugar solution will taste from top or bottom]whereas mixture will have different properties at different places.
3. therefore solutions are homogeneous in nature and mixtures are heterogeneous in nature.
4. mixtures can be separated by simple physical means, whereas solutions can be separated by physical means only

a answer is an occasion of mixture: nevertheless recommendations oftentimes look extra homogenous (sea water) than something this is extra of course a mix (pepper and salt) In 'ordinary' words a answer will contain a liquid with a good dissolved into it (mixed into it: it has no longer replaced chemically). even nevertheless it must be a answer of one liquid in yet another (alcohol in water) or it could even (yet much less usually) contain a good 'dissolved' in yet another to make a good answer.

A mixture is some substances put together, like you can mix corn powder with starch with talc powder together in a dish. A solution is to mix a substance called solute in a specific liquid called solvent to make clear new liquid called solution, like u dissolve some table salt in water to make salt solution.
