For example, I have 2 very small dogs and our local beach doesn't allow dogs "ON THE BEACH". If I were to take them there, carry them to the play pen and set them in it. Are they still "ON THE BEACH". My opinion is, if they were in a play pen elevated above the sand then technically, no they are not on the beach.

No dogs means NO dogs. Are they going to go potty in the playpen? I think not. You would probably still get a ticket. Maybe you could dress them up as babies though? LOL

Just say they are really hairy children.

They're still on the beach tho, just not touching the sand. I think they'd still give you trouble. Any others that allow dogs near you?

I think they dont want the doggies peeing/pooping in the sand so i guess if the pen had a bottom then you should do it.

I bring my dachshunds to the beach all the time (i live in va beach) and ive never seen signs saying no dogs.

Yes they are still on the beach and you will get a ticket.
