Its just a bad idea, not only is there a risk of disease, like hepatitis, but it may also hurt more, because, the skin is puffier and more sensetive. Just wait a few more months

Why can't you wait? Seriously. Isn't your baby worth the wait. I'm not against body art. I have three tattoos and 17 piercings. But none of those were done during my pregnancies. I also know that a reputable tattoo artist will tell you to wait. If you find an artist willing to give you the tattoo then I'd be questioning the rest of his standards including how sterile his shop and tools really are.
When you are pregnant you should be going out of your way to be as healthy as possible for the baby. You should automatically be more concerned about your baby than a tattoo. The fact that you are even considering this or willing to add potential, unnecessary risks to your pregnancy is concerning.

While this is not the best idea or time to get a tattoo there is a very low risk of complications with the pregnancy if (just as you normally would) the shop/artist uses sterile needles in the proper enviroment. I got a tattoo when I was pregnant with my second child at about 4 months. I probably should have waited but the risks are low. If you go to a back porch artist then you risk anything from AIDS to Hep B. If you do choose to go ahead then at least be sure that the should is reputable, uses an autoclave between each procedure, and that the studio is sterile. Best of luck to you and your child.

I don't think any tattooist would be willing to give you a tattoo as there are many risks involved. There is a high chance you could bleed more while pregnant as your blood is thinner. You only have to wait a few more months then get your tattoo, it will be safer for both you and your baby. Its alot safer now days getting a tattoo in a clean licensed shop but not while pregnant. Good luck and just play with the tattoo idea for the remaining months of your pregnancy and once bub is born get it done.

Yes, putting anything in your body that is questionable while you are pregnant is careless. I don't think a respectable tattoo artist will do it if they can see that you are pregnant. There is always the risk of contracting a virus when getting a tattoo such as Hepatitis which would be devastating for your unborn child. You're more than half way through your pregnancy, just wait until your baby is born to get your tattoo.

Seriously, why would you want to get a tattoo while you are pregnant? And, if you want one that bad, then what's the big deal in waiting a few more months until you've already had the baby?
I'm sorry, but this is a stupid question.

I don't think there has been enough research done to come up with a conclusive answer as to whether it could be harmful. But, why take the chance? You only have 4 more months to wait. I would just wait to give your baby the best chance to be born healthy.

Hon, women who are pregnant aren't even supposed to get dental work done. And that's usually not at major as getting a tattoo.
I would honestly wait. Remember, if your stress level goes up because you're nervous over a needle, then the baby gets to feel the stress too. A lot of stress has the posibilty of putting you into early labor.

I got a tattoo while pregnant and everything came out ok. As long as they use clean needles and you do not get an infection you should be ok unless you are tattooing your stomach, then I would say no.

The biggest threat of getting a tattoo while pregnant goes to the mother. Either way it is NOT safe to do with your body and your child's body in such a fragile state.
