how do u post a serial # for a Ipod mini that is found?

I found an ipod where i live and don't know what to do with it I need a web site to enter the serial # on a web page to find who bought it so I can give it back to them tell me if you find one. I know that there is one but I can not find it thanks

It's great that your making an effort to return the ipod to its owner. Most people wouldn't do that.

You can try contact apple. Usually when you buy an ipod, you register it online and its linked to your itunes account. If the person purchased any music from itunes, more than likely his/her information is recorded somewhere. That's probably your best bet
