For family, the best place is to get a copy of your state's Family Code that the legislature passed. This will outline anything from Parent's Rights, Divorce, Custody, Abuse, and anything else concerning a family.
Example: Texas has the Texas Family Code. I am sure your state has the same thing.
Not sure about the money issue. If you are talking of money issues that concern family issues, some of that is covered in various state's Family Codes as well. Ie. division of the assets, alimony, child support, etc.
