If you bought them from Lenscrafters they would replace them free in the first year. Even if they got scratches on them within the year they give you new ones free.

Oops Costco is not such a good deal.

Oh sure. Are you crazy? If YOU broke them, then you will have to buy a new pair at YOUR expense. Costco isn't liable unless someone in their employment broke them in the store. And Lens Crafters doesn't ALWAYS replace broken glasses free of charge either. Really, if you broke them, they aren't going to welcome you with open arms.

depends on what´s broken but most likely they would wanna make you buy new ones they are getting so inexpensive now that is worth to get new ones.
