It could be a whole slew of problems. Do you get any warning lights? does it just shut off completely, or does it studder before it dies? when it dies, do you have steering or any power whatsover?
I mean it could be a heat related issue, where your water pump isnt timed right, it could be faulty sensors, it could be faulty fuel injectors. You could have a faulty ignition, you could have bad spark plugs. it could be a simple lose battery cable. Ya got to give us a bit more info.
What kind of car is it, what engine, what year? Have you tried pulling the diagnostic codes (if you car even has diagnostics), do you smell anything, what have you tried doing to fix the problem?
Add some more info too your question

sounds like a fuel system relay is worn and heat causes the connection points to not make contact Ive seen that happen before more than likely the problem is in the fuel system because the car starts up so you have spark

It could be an elecctric sensor failure if its a modern car.
Sensors are used to control fuel mixture etc. Best having a diagnostic check run at your dealer/garage.

it could be a number of things, it could be a bad coil, bad computer or just a bad wire conection. you need to have a garage look at it.

Crack in intake manifold can do that. When engine is cold, crack is closed. When engine warms up, crack is wider and pressure escapes.
