I am getting married this sunday Jan. 14th, 2007. I am looking to get some new and good make-up, not the cheap crap! I am torn between the Bare Minerals, Prescriptives, and Clinique. What do you recommend? Thanks

I also have dark circles under my eyes so I would like something thatcovers that well too. I have tried MAC and it was ok, it seemed like I had to put a lot on for it to last all day. very one says it's so great, maybe I am doing something wrong?!

i love all of these answers!
Sfgfan - I don't really wear make up that often and I always switch cause I have never been happy. I currently have MAC, but I think I want to try something else! Thanks for your thoughtful answer!

I bought new make up for my wedding 3 months ago so I know what you are going through! I have always used Clinique or their sister brands such as Origins so I stuck with those brand's foundation and concealer because I knew I wouldn't have any facial irritations so close to the big day.
To get the best ideas, I went to Nordstrom and had my make up done so I could try everything out and try the looks out that I wanted.
On that note, it's probably a good idea to stay close to what you normally do with your makeup routine so that you don't look weird to your future husband when you walk down the aisle. Not that you would, it's just a good idea to do your natural look with a touch of extra glamour.
As far as concealer, I use two kinds: Clinique liquid (it comes in this green tube with a paint brush applicator) and Benefit's "it" stick (i think that's what it's called). Clinique stays on longer and is a more natural color. After using the applicator, pat around your eye with your finger to smooth it out. When you're done with all your makeup, powder your face with loose powder that matches your foundation. That sets everything and your makeup won't run.
Even when you tear up, which you will do when you step up to the aisle :) Last but not least, if you haven't tried natural looking false eyelashes, now is the time. That, and WATER PROOF mascara. Good luck and have a wonderful time!

I started wearing Bare Minerals over a year ago, I've had so many complements on my skin over the last year. I ended up having Lancome do my make up the day of my wedding, but came back to the church and touched it up with my Bare Minerals. It's the best make up i have found, I dont think I can ever go back to liquid foundation, not to mention it doesn't ever cause my skin to break out.. Go for the Bare Minerals!!! and Congrats!!!

I would say Bare Minerals is best. It is sheer and covers. Use mulit-layering for best effect. There is an under eye cover cream that I use called AMAZING COSMETICS CONCEALER> Believe me I have dark circles !! It covers all w/just a dab!
Go to AMAZING CONCEALER .com Or QVC.com
Qvc has rush overnite delivery if U ask.
Another alternative is STILA perfecting concealer(also QVC) or in dept. stores.
I want to wish you good luck and many happy years of joy and love on your wedding day! I am certain you will look like a princess!

bare minerals is AMAZING. ive been using it for over a year now and would never use anything else. it stays all day and it doesnt LOOK like youre wearing make up, which is nice. it covers wonderfully and the foundation doubles as a concealer. if you want to try it out go to your local sephora or ulta and have them try it on you, youre gonna love it! (not to mention the quality of my skin improved!)

Bare essentials is the best make up out there for any type of situation. You can buy a basic kit from QVC.com they have great deals also. Its easy to use and you will look stunning It will get rid of blemishes and will give you that airbrushed look without having to cake on make up. Its light and airy I LOVE IT. Trust me on this. You will be glad you used it that day. Check it out. www.qvc.com or watch QVC they are always promoting

Perscriptives has great foundation, clinique has nice just about everything, especially mascara. Other brands that you may want to try would be estee lauder - blush, and mac - liqud eyeliner, it will not run if you swet. These are just some nice products that I like to use.

right this is a few ideas- a million- make the full skirt of one piece seamed on the back and coated by potential of the practice or great trailing satin silk bows. with a bodice like a bustier, or camisole rouched, pleated, tucked or 2- make a lace over-skirt, or an analogous fabric petal like overskirts.
