we should have a draft! However there should be no exceptions to the rule. (full ride scholarship etc.) Not only would that beef up the defense system of our country it would also make people view war in very different terms.
It's much harder to send a country to war when you know your own family members are part of the military. Therefore if we go to war then it's because we need to be at war!!

And if China did a similar, we'd want to in no way be able to compare them. do not ignore that China has over a million.2 Billion human beings, even as the U. S. has merely three hundred Million. The outnumber us by about 4 to at least a million. Now, even as China has 11 million troops, how do you believe that they'd bypass an enormous stress to take america? they don't have the troop delivery skill interior of their army or air stress. certainly, they'd ought to get by US naval and air skill first, earlier they could even land troops on our beaches. the kind of topic is amazingly not likely.

Plans are already underway to reinstate the draft. It is planned to start within the next 8 - 12 months. They are already organizing SS numbers and approving ages.

Not a chance the draft will be reinstated. Military recruiters are still reaching their yearly goal of people enlisting. Not a chance.

no, we have 5million members in the extended military, and chinas equipment is from the soviets. and the draft bill is to make wars more painful, a stunt by the democrats to make the GOP look bad, but it will back fire on them.
and i take it youre not an american?

I'm all for a draft, it would make the wars this nation fight mean something to most of us. As long as we can chose to fight or not then the wars the US is engaged in wont mean much to most.

YES we are way under trained and understaffed, because we are fighting contained wars and not using WMD. It does not take numbers to push buttons and kill everyone.(we will) Do you think any of us will live long after one nuclear strike? Not with what we have now,And oh my God! the future!
