Seal is saying that he is a very dark person (sad? depressed? old and cynical?)

His love represents light. (Happiness? Joy?)

"A kiss from a rose on the grave" is a great lyric.

He is using metaphor to say that when a rose is placed on a grave, it "kisses" it.

So, his lover is like a kiss from a rose on a grave. His lover, beautiful, is the rose. He feels like a grave.

The bloom is her womanly beauty

wiki says

"It was rumoured that "Kiss from a Rose" is potentially about the use of cocaine. This has been disputed by others, who argue that it is more about the pure love between a man and a woman, similar to the concept of the story of Beauty and the Beast."

People rumored that it was about cocaine use, but others say it's a comparison to the story of The Beauty and the Beast. Personally I believe the latter.

TBH i always thought this song was about taking drugs, so many pop songs are full of double meanings its hard to tell nowadays.

Ill be watching this one with interest.
