If you use poor farming practices, your soil will erosion will cause silt to flow into rivers, hurting that habitat. Soils in the fields will be less fertile and yield fewer crops.

There is a very high waterfall in Hawaii that is right on the coast. In falls a great distance and created a small lake before running to the ocean. The whole area is a V shaped area with the falls at the point and the ocean at the wide part. The area has made a nice protected area where native people settled fishing as their main food source. Until a tidal wave hit and they had no way to escape and the entire village was wiped out in one hour. Geography had created the perfect Paradise and the geography of the ocean and the earthquake fault created the ending.

Where fresh water is available animals will live because the plants grow supplying food - then humans move in because there is water and animals for hunting. Bringing farm animals when the over hunting wipes out the wild animal population and growing crops. The geography of the region is what attracted animal than people - who will than bring changes to the landscape (geography) of the region by building water ways for irrigation or fencing in the land changing migration paths.
