No, I'm afraid it isn't. Most of the other things you mentioned were material things and those can vanish in a heartbeat and then what are you left with??

Every person goes through cycles of times when they feel a certain way about a situation with the person they love, and other times they can't handle it and act differently... like times you can put up with a person's bad habits and shrug it off one day and then the next feel like ripping their head off for looking at you wrong. If you find yourself not boucing back to that "shrug it off" stage and stay in the "completely annoyed" stage, then you've got to take yourself out of that situation.
I don't think it's possible to have unconditional love in any relationship... even between children and parents. There are certain (very traumatic) situations in which you've just gotto let go. There's got to be a reason why unconditional love is nonexistant.
Those other things int he marriage are great for living a good life, but won't save a marriage that doesn't allow different cycles of emotional management.
I think that sound better in my head...

I am not sure there is really such a thing as unconditional love. All love is impacted by how we are treated by others. I am not sure it is humanly possible to love someone no matter what their actions. It is a nice thought - but doesn't exist in the real world..

As long as your both happy why not? just make sure you keep levels of respect - IE is your marrige open? make sure your on the same page. If your faithful, stay that way. It could probably work out better then "unconditional" or "true" love

Well, I mean what is unconditional love? To me that's more of a dog who loves their owner regardless of the way they treat them. Why would you want to love someone regardless of what they do to you or why would you want someone who would let you do the same? Unconditional love is unhealthy IMO! When someone cheats or is mis-treated then they should leave the relationship. You can love someone and have conditions- it's okay. It's called respect for yourself!

If one spouse beats the other, love can turn to hate based upon the conditions of the relationship. If the relationship is nurtured, the love can deepen.
Love in marriage is always conditional:

No one can give you unconditional love, except perhaps your parents. NO ONE. Do not fool yourself into thinking otherwise. As humans, we just aren't capable of it. We will always find a flaw in someone else. The only exception I have found is parents. Parents love their offspring....no matter what....unconditionally. Otherwise, forget this "ideal". It doesn't exist.
