the media can take an innocent remark like that and twist it out of context. to me, its no different from Jade's mum, after a particularly stressful day dealing with Jade's cancer saying to a friend "aaah, well i feel slightly better now i have had a hot bath..." Probably Jackie made the tan comment off-the-cuff and its been pounced upon. We shouldn't be so quick to judge. the media only portrays one side of the story very often.

I think that the label "Celebrity" is beginning to be used to include a larger group of people. Back when reality TV started (around 7 years ago in the UK with "Castaway" which will be returning later this year) I think there was a much clearer idea of who the public looked up to. As the format becomes more tiring it is losing both its aim and focus.

Television people are getting desperate to fill all the airtime with all the new TV channels. These people are not celebrities a celebrity is someone who has achieved something ie. singer, song writer, author, artist, actors especially Johnny Depp now he is what I would call a celebrity. Jade who???
