to make things brief, my bf and i broke up about six months ago, but we have both couldnt let go-- we loved each other too much. we are finally starting to talk again and having a reconciliation.

the thing is, both of us have really changed over these months, and although conversation flows when were together, there are also a lot of awkward pauses. i dont think that this is any indication that it wouldnt work or anything, i just think were not yet used to each other like we used to be.. but still, getting the ball rolling would be nice.

the simple solution, is to fill each other in on whats been happening these six months without each other... but we both tried dating and short relationships, and thats hardly the right foot to start on..

so, what are some good things to talk about with him? and how do i avoid the awkward pauses? hes artsy, reads the ny times, is really into politics, likes partying, etc.. if those details help at all...

thanks sooo much guys.. ps, im 19

I think that the pauses are being caused by the things that need to be shared. You must have questions about what happened to end the relationship, and what happened during the time you were not together that caused the changes to come about. 19 is young and all of this info will help in this relationship or those in the future
